Loaded Nachos
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
- 2
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes
- 3
Add cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder to the beef. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well and cook for another minute. Remove from heat
- 4
On a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange half of the tortilla chips in an even layer
- 5
Sprinkle half of the seasoned ground beef over the chips, followed by half of the black beans
- 6
Add half of both cheeses evenly over the first layer
- 7
Repeat with remaining chips, beef, beans, and cheese to create a second layer
- 8
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly
- 9
Remove from oven and immediately top with diced tomatoes, jalapeño slices, and green onions
- 10
Add dollops of sour cream and guacamole across the nachos
- 11
Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the top and serve immediately while hot...
Chef's Note
"The key to perfect nachos is layering - it ensures every chip gets toppings! For restaurant-style results, warm your serving plates in the oven first, and serve within 5 minutes to prevent soggy chips. Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings like pickled jalapeños, hot sauce, or diced avocado."
