Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
Instructions
- 1
In a medium bowl, toss the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch until evenly coated. Set aside.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, remaining cornstarch, beef broth, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
- 3
Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 4
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- 5
Add the remaining oil to the wok. Add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 6
Return the beef to the wok along with the blanched broccoli. Pour the sauce over everything and toss to combine.
- 7
Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli nicely.
- 8
Serve immediately over hot cooked rice.
