Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)

  2. 2

Place the butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish and put it in the oven to melt while it preheats

  3. 3

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 150g (3/4 cup) of the sugar, baking powder, and salt

  4. 4

Add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined into a smooth batter

  5. 5

In a separate bowl, toss the sliced peaches (fresh or drained canned) with the remaining 50g (1/4 cup) sugar and cinnamon

  6. 6

Once butter is melted, carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven

  7. 7

Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter - do not stir

  8. 8

Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter - again, do not stir

  9. 9

Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean

  10. 10

Let cool for 10 minutes before serving warm...
